Buyers tend to think quite logically selecting houses to view, but then tend to simply react emotionally once in the house and seeing it. Only experienced investors generally maintain a clear headed thought process when viewing a house.

Average Buyer I dont like these walls much, whats wrong with the rest of the house?

Note that neither method is wrong. Investors should buy based on how the money looks, most home buyers should buy a house they get a positive emotional feeling from.
