The Feed Bag - Active Rain is the Frog

September 27th, 2007 The Feed Bag

FUBARHousechick goes on a rampage of attempted destruction.

Phil Hoover compiles a list of ways to take forever selling your home. By Phil’s reckoning only 10% of homes in Boise are saleable.

Hat tip Rhonda Porter for video links to MSNBC on Jim Cramers latest remarks. (Will play a 15s ad before it starts.  Grrr.)

“Don’t you dare buy a home now, you will lose money.”

Maybe the National Association of Realtors has said it’s a good time to buy for three years longer than its existence.”

CNN Reports that mortgage rates went up for the third week in a row.

Scorpion_and_frog_coverInman reports that the gloves are coming off between Active Rain and Move.com after Move left Active Rain standing at the altar and quickly pawned the engagement ring.

The legalize from Active Rain, the legalize from Move.

Obviously Active Rain has to make a step towards profit at some point, all that storage and bandwidth has to get paid for somehow. Even so I doubt that the majority of Active Rain peeps will regard the attempt at getting their community sold to Move all that positively.

The parable of The Scorpion and the Frog.

…and you’ve been stung to death mid-stream for no apparent reason.

Every day I scan far too many blogs and writings related to real estate using the free Google Reader . The Feed Bag is simply what struck my fancy as I read. Want to follow my free RSS feed? Subscribe here.

[…] The big news of yesterday was the lawsuit from Active Rain for Move failing to buy them out. Yesterday I saw Active Rain as somewhat the victim in this scheme, though the more I think about it, the less I see the Active Rain owners as victims. […]
