HOWZAT! - I’ll Claim I Won The Carnival of Real Estate

It’s not explicitly clear, but based on the phrase “our favorite post of the week came from Athol Kay of RE Agent in CT”, I’ll claim with a rousing HOWZAT! that yes indeed I won the big prize for the Carnival of Real Estate.
For those that wonder, Howzat! is usually pronounced in a somewhat similar fashion as Goal! is pronounced on Spanish Television. The strength of your argument to the umpire being how forcefully and long you manage to yell Howzat!
Homethinking Blog hosted the 43rd Carnival of Real Estate and was swamped with posts about Redfin on 60 Minutes laced with venom, so my cool calm and collected post about CMA’s and Zestimates must have seemed like a glass of lemonade on a hot day.
Other noble winners with great posts are;
Broker Bryant giving some nice summary of the Redfin thing, as does Greg Swann.
Jim Cronin wins the Tom Sawyer award for getting everyone else to write his post on teamwork.
Peter Comitini wins with his article on buying condos in Manhattan.
The only real downside I’ve noticed is that postings about the Carnival seem way down. The first time I had a top 10 result I think I had 8–10 inbound links within a couple hours. This time just three.
Hmmm. Not sure what to make of that.

I concur that you are the winner of the Carnival this week. The posting of the Carnival was kind of difficult to decipher. Your CMA vs Zestimate post was well deserving and has given me another piece of data to track. Just what I need, more work:)
I also agree the links for the Carnival our way down. Maybe folks are just busy working. Maybe they’re busy putting in applications to Redfin. That salaried position probably looks pretty appealing to quite a few REALTORS(R) these days.

I think the Carnival is starting to become less of a focus for many people, I’ll admit sometimes I just plain forget about it. Monday can be very busy for many realtors with the follow up from the weekend too.

As an Aussie myself though, it’s just a shame we didn’t get the chance to beat NZ rather than Sri Lanka in the world cup cricket final

Did you ever listen to “The 12th Man” tapes? I have to hunt them up on Amazon I think. I’ve told my wife about them, but seeing she’s American born I get an incomprehenisive look and glassy eyed nodding.
